Description

Hand-crafted from sustainable coconut shells, and individually hand-painted by the artist using water resistant acrylic paints.  Each set (right and left) takes around two days to complete.

The coconut shells are obtained from coconut processing plants in Northern Thailand.  The first step in the process is to cut the various shapes from the shells, which is done by the artist’s friends and family.  The artist then meticulously hand-paints each piece after which, his wife assembles the hooks and posts.

The artist and his people are using a food byproduct that would otherwise end up in the bin or fireplace.

Since each piece is a hand painted work of art, no one set of earrings will exactly match another.  Patterns and colors may be similar, but no two will be identical.
